Patients who are enrolled with our physicians have the benefit of being part of our Preventive Care services for early cancer detection. Our staff ensures that searches in the electronic medical records are kept up-to-date. Patients who are due for the testing mentioned below are identified and notified by phone and/or mail:
Ontario has among the highest rates of colorectal cancer in the world. A person with colorectal cancer has a 90% chance of being cured if the cancer is caught early enough through screening. ColonCancerCheck recommends that all Ontarians aged 50 and over be screened for colorectal cancer. For those at average risk for colorectal cancer, a simple at home test—the Fecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT)—once every two years is recommended.
Cervical cancer is almost entirely preventable with regular screening. The Ontario Cervical Screening Program recommends that women who are or have been sexually active have a Pap test every 3 years starting at age 21.
Please talk to your health care provider if you fall under any of the above screening recommendations.

The Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) is an organized breast screening program that provides high-quality breast cancer screening to two groups of women:
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 5pm to 8pm, Patients can contact Telephone Health Advisory Service (THAS). It is a free, confidential telephone service that is available to enrolled patients for health advice from a Registered Nurse when the TRUSTCARE MEDICAL clinic is closed.
Phone Number – 1 866 553 7205
Patients who call THAS are connected to a nurse or a patient assistant representative. Based on the THAS nurse’s assessment and the clinical guidelines, the nurse will provide self-care advice, direct the patient to their physician’s office (within 24-72 hours) or direct the patient to the nearest emergency department.
In order to provide our patients with the best possible primary care, our Family Physicians will see patients by booked appointment only. Please call the office at 519-748-6933 to schedule your appointment. As missed appointments contribute to longer wait times, we do require 24-48 hour notice for all appointment cancellations. Missed appointment fees may apply if sufficient notice of cancellation is not given.
For all of our patients, we respectfully ask that you do not use other walk-in clinics. Our physicians are highly available to see urgent matters, either through a same day booked appointment or in our emergency after hours clinic between the hours of 5-8pm, Mon-Fri and 10am-2pm on Saturdays. We do not get any information when you visit other clinics, and that affects your quality of care. In addition, our doctors are billed for every walk-in visit you have outside of our office. Please call the office before 4pm Mon-Fri or between the hours of 8:30am-1:30pm on Saturday to reserve your urgent appointment.
Did you know that not all services you receive in a doctors office are covered by your OHIP card? Services such as forms, doctors notes, certain vaccinations and drivers medical examinations are some examples of uninsured services. Please call the office to enquire about a complete list of uninsured services.
